Project Overview

Embelton was engaged by Watpac in August 2008 to supply all isolation materials for the TV studios at 8 Central Ave Eveleigh. All four studios are completely independent structures, supported on customized low frequency bearings developed by Embelton.

Meeting a demanding technical specification and timeframe, all 3336 bearings were designed, manufactured and ready for delivery by the end of September 2008.

The metal deck roof of the studios was isolated from the concrete structural roof to prevent rain, traffic and aircraft noise intrusion to the studios. External walls to the studios were also isolated from the internal precast walls to prevent airborne noise interference.
